HARLEY Bobbed 3.5 Gallon Gas Tank Set fits 1961-1962 FL
Tank has emblem mount strips attached. Tank emblem mount screws not included. Tank features indents for shifter gate and has a welded on shifter handle tab. Check the shut off opening making sure the shut off valve can be easily installed. The shut off fitting should be masked or plugged during painting for easy installation of the shut off valve. Check the tank for flaws and fit before painting. Do not grind or sand the seams or joints. Clean the inside of the tank. It is suggested to pressure test and use a tank sealer. We suggest using Kreem gas tank combo kit to clean condition and seal to help stop leaking and prevent corrosion. All tanks or tank sets require hand fitting to give correct alignment for dash and fuel line fitment. Dash will also have to be shimmed when installed to achieve correct height. NOTE: Petcock opening is 3/8 inch NPT(female) and it is on the left side forward on tank. ONLY FITS MODELS SHOWN ABOVE. If you would like to return your new, unopened, and uninstalled part.
